Proteas fast bowler, Kyle Abbott, will play his domestic cricket for the Warriors from next season.
Abbott on Monday announced that he will leave the Dolphins to join the Eastern Cape franchise.
“I’m looking forward to this new challenge and the move will take me out of my comfort zone,” Abbott told Netwerk24.
The 28-year-old Abbott has represented the Proteas in seven Tests, 24 ODIs and 21 T20Is.
Abbott is currently playing for the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League and will join the Warriors for pre-season training in September.
Abbott made his Test debut for South Africa against Pakistan in 2013 where he took 7/29, the second best ever figures for South Africa on debut.
