Kaizer Chiefs player arrested for assault
Gauteng police say a Kaizer Chiefs soccer player has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
"The incident happened on Sunday in Silverton, Pretoria, where he allegedly assaulted the girlfriend and damaged her vehicle," Lieutenant Kay Makhubela said.
The 26-year-old, who is a midfielder, was arrested today. He is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court soon on charges of assault and damage to property.
