SA surfer, Jordy Smith, is through to the final at the Rip Curl Pro Portugal.
Smith easily defeated John John Florence in the semi-finals.
Smith earlier edged Adriano de Souza in a tight quarter-final heat.
Smith ousted Bede Durbidge of Australia in fifth round action.
Durbidge eliminated Durban surfer, Travis Logie, in the second round at Peniche.
Smith is a product of Glenwood High School in Durban.
