Updated | By Staff Writer
It was earlier reported that a whole host of South Africans would join White there and the club have now officially confirmed it via their official website.
Schalk van der Merwe (Lions, prop), Demetri Catrakilis (Stormers, flyhalf), Jacques du Plessis (Bulls, loose forward/lock), Cameron Wright (Sharks, scrumhalf/flyhalf), Wiaan Liebenberg (Bulls, loose forward) and Paul Willemse (Grenoble, lock) are the South Africans who have put pen to paper.
The other signings include Nic White (Brumbies, scrumhalf), Jesse Mogg (Brumbies, fullback), Julien Malzieu (Clermont Auvergne, wing), Marvin O'Connor (Bayonne, wing) and Seveci Nakailagi (Fiji, wing).
Former Lions prop Jacobie Adriaanse will also join Montpellier for a shirt stint until after the Rugby World Cup (October 31).
Apart from White, there is already a large South African contingent at Montpellier.
Shaun Sowerby is White's assistant coach, while Pat Cilliers (prop) and Robert Ebersohn (centre) already ply their trade there.
Springbok centre Wynand Olivier also played there since 2013, but he was one of 19 players recently announced to leave the club.
Montpellier departures:
Yohann Artru, David Attoub, Thomas Bianchin, Alexandre Bias, Maximiliano Bustos, Lucas Dupont, Teddy Iribaren, Chris King, Na'ama Leleimalefaga, Nahuel Lobo, Wynand Olivier, Jonathan Pélissié, Fred Quercy, Rene Ranger, Enzo Selponi, Benoît Sicart, Alex Tulou, Samisoni Viriviri, Albert Vulivuli
