India selectors ignore veterans
India have named their preliminary squad of 30 for the Cricket World Cup next year.
The selectors have ignored veterans Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Ravi Ashwin, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina are the only survivors from the 2011 World Cup.
India won that tournament with a victory over Sri Lanka in the final.
Australia, meanwhile, have added Shaun Marsh to their squad for the first Test against India.
The match in Adelaide is scheduled to start on Tuesday.
Marsh has been summouned as cover for Michael Clarke.
The Aussie captain has been nursing a hamstring injury.
