Good weekend for Glenwood cricket

Northwood were sent in to bat first and lost a wicket first ball of the innings thanks to opening bowler Nipho Madwe.
Both of the Glenwood opening bowlers created havoc amongst the Northwood top order and Andile Phehlukwayo, who recently returned from India playing for the SA u19 team, was also amongst the wickets.
Northwood were 15 for 4 at one stage but Van Der Merwe (25) and Rawlings (28) showed some composure and managed to help Northwood to 100 all out.
The Glenwood innings got off to a rocky start with some careless batting seeing the home team reeling at 12 for 4.
A responsible innings from opening batsman, Mekhalin Naidoo (27 not out), and a fine knock from Phehlukwayo (50 not out) eventually saw the home team reaching the target and wining the game by 6 wickets.
The Glenwood u14A, U15A and U16A teams all recorded wins with a special knock from Jordan Grobbelaar in the U15A team. He made 168 not out.
