Good kob fishing at Tugela
Updated | By Staff Writer
The latest Kingfisher Rock & Surf report said that the St Lucia and Cape Vidal areas have produced some nice fish. Reports are of Shad and 3 spot Pompano coming out. Mission Rocks also produced a nice Kingfish of over 20 kgs!
Mapelane has been quiet aside from some good reports of Shad and Kob, some of which weighed up to 30kgs.
When weather conditions are right, the Tugela North Bank has also been producing some nice Kob ranging from 5kgs to a beautiful specimen of 38kgs.
Richards Bay has produced a fair amount of Shad and smaller Kob.
The second day of Spring promises to be a beautiful one for Durbanites with a high of 23 degrees, clear skies and sunshine forecast.
NNW winds are blowing this morning, which will swing, to NE’s later. There is still some decent swell around for surfers but you will need to get onto it early before the onshores hit.
