Gaxa heaps praise on Kaizer Chiefs defence

With two games remaining in the current campaign, the Phefeni Glamour Boys have only conceded a total of 12 goals, which also played a significant role in earning the Soweto giants their fourth PSL title.
The Durban-born right back also admitted that Amakhosi won the league collectively as they are perfectly balanced in every department.
Gaxa was speaking after Chiefs' 1-0 win over Mamelodi Sundowns in Atteridgeville last night.
“We are so happy as a team and personally I’m also delighted with how we were playing this season. There is a saying which states that strikers win games but defenders win championships. As you can see that these championships wins were more of a collective effort when it comes to defending, from the strikers to goalkeepers. As I said, defenders win championships, so here we are again this season with the best defensive record,” Gaxa said.
Chiefs will be handed their 2014/15 Absa Premiership trophy after their final match against Chippa United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on May 9.
