Garrick spotted in Durban harbour
Updated | By Staff Writer
Garrick were seen in Durban harbour this week.
Anglers who fished the bay over the weekend had more success than those who fished during the week, however no fireworks.
The odd lucky angler hooked decent grunter closer to the mouth and anglers using sardine as bait managed to catch a couple of kob also near the mouth.
Towards the end of the silt canal anglers had some fun with some good sized perch on cracker baits.
Anglers fishing near Wilson's Wharf saw garrick smashing small shoals of mullet early in the morning during the week.
Smaller mullet are very good bait for these garrick and anglers fishing from the banks can easily target them.
