Friday date for Amazulu

The Absa Premiership will resume tomorrow night when Amazulu continue with their 2014/2015 campaign away to Bidvest Wits in Johannesburg.

Both KwaZulu-Natal sides will be in action at the weekend, as Maritzburg United also travel to Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday night.

Team of Choice are currently in sixth position in the standings, while Amazulu remain rock bottom.

Coming away with a point, or even three, will be a tall order for Steve Komphela and his men, as the Soweto side top the Absa Premiership table after winning all six games so far this season, and after being crowned MTN8 champions last weekend.

However, United have a very decent record against Amakhosi over the years.

The two sides have met 16 times in the league before, with Chiefs winning six, Maritzburg four, while six games ended in draws.

Two of United’s four league victories over Chiefs were recorded away from home, with AmaKhosi having beaten the PMB side four times in Johannesburg.

Last season’s corresponding fixture resulted in a 2-0 victory for the Glamour Boys, with the return game ending in a goalless draw.

Amazulu take on Bidvest Wits at the Bidvest Stadium in Johannesburg tomorrow at 20h00.

Meanwhile, Maritzburg United travel to Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

Kickoff is set for 20h15.
