Florence next for Jordy

Jordy Smith will face John John Florence in his quarter-final heat at the Volcom Pro Fiji.

Smith defeated Jeremy Flores in a very tight fifth round clash at Tavarua on Tuesday.

Also through to the quarter-finals in Fiji are Kelly Slater, CJ Hobgood, Mick Fanning, Joel Parkinson and Sebastian Zietz.

Hobgood ousted Durban surfer, Travis Logie, in the third round.

Hobgood has a quarter-final date with Josh Kerr, while Fanning will meet Parkinson in the last eight.

Parkinson is the reigning world champion.
