LISTEN | Mercedes out of the Championship running?
Updated | By JacPod
Mercedes did a sterling job at Silverstone, but this could be the end of their championship dreams? The Track This podcast team weigh in...
The British
Grand Prix provided Formula One fans with a race that will not easily be
forgotten, with great wheel to wheel racing action and the Mercedes were at the
center of the action.
George
Russel had to retire after the unfortunate accident on lap one and Lewis
Hamilton walked away with a third-place finish.
“Had there not been a safety car, Lewis
could’ve won the race,” reckons Motorsport analyst Avon Middleton in the latest
Track This podcast.
Even with
this sterling performance it could be too little too late for the Mercedes
team.
“If they
are bagging points and not in the top five or top three the gap is miles apart,”
says Track This panelist and racing driver Tschops Sipuka.
