Sharks assistant coach, Sean Everitt, is very happy to have Reinach at this disposal.

"We missed Cobus a lot last year. He has been unlucky with injuries over the last while. Cobus certainly provides us with X-factor and is a good all-round scrumhalf. He is an opportunistic player and has a good boot as well. He also knows our system and gets on well with the coach. He certainly delivers on the field," Everitt said.

Several youngsters have been added to the Sharks squad this season and Everitt feels they have settled well.

"The youngsters have certainly brought a lot of enthusiasm and they have worked hard in the off-season. We had a more experienced team for Super Rugby last season with the likes of JP Pietersen and Willie le Roux. We then went into the Currie Cup with a new bunch and they have grown considerably. Lukhanya Am had a very good Currie Cup. So too did the other youngsters. They have played their way into contention," Everitt concluded.

The Sharks will launch their Vodacom Super Rugby season against the Reds in Brisbane next Friday - 24 February.
