Maverick Vinales has secured his maiden MotoGP victory. Vinales won the MotoGP of Great Britain at Silverstone this afternoon. Cal Crutchlow ended second, Valentino Rossi third and Marc Marquez fourth.

Marquez continues to enjoy a comfortable lead in the championship standings.
He is 50 points clear of nearest challenger Rossi.

Nico Rosberg has won the Italian Formula One Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton ended second, while Sebastian Vettel completed the top three at Monza this afternoon.
Kimi Raikkonen finished fourth.
Hamilton still tops the championship standings, but is now only two points clear of Mercedes teammate Rosberg.

Australia have completed a 4-1 one-day series victory over Sri Lanka.
Australia won the fifth and final ODI by five wickets in Pallekele today.
David Warner top scored for the Aussies with 106.

KZN Inland have beaten Namibia by 62 runs at the Africa Cup T20 tournament in Pietermaritzburg.
Attie Maposa bowled impressively for KZN Inland at the City Oval.
Maposa recorded figures of three for 12 in his four overs.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic says Jose Mourinho is the main reason why he moved to the English Premiership.
Ibrahimovic and Mourinho had previously worked together at Inter Milan.
Ibrahimovic says he learnt a lot from Mourinho at Inter.

Wallabies head coach, Michael Cheika, has named his squad for the home Rugby Championship clashes with the Springboks and Pumas this month.
The squad includes winger, Henry Speight, and four uncapped players.
The rookies are Kyle Godwin, Lopeti Timani, Tom Robertson and Sefa Naivalu.
Fiji-born Naivalu will only become eligible to play for Australia on 18 September.
Speight, meanwhile, returns from sevens duty at the Rio Olympics.
The Wallabies will meet the Springboks in Brisbane this coming Saturday.
Kickoff is at 12h05 in the afternoon - South African time.
Cell C Sharks will also be in action this coming Saturday.
They will host the Free State Cheetahs in a Currie Cup match in Durban.
Kickoff is at 17h00.
