Orlando Pirates are through to the Telkom Knockout Cup quarter-finals. This after beating Golden Arrows 2-1 this afternoon. Mpho Makola and Luvuyo Memela scored for the Buccaneers.

Baroka drilled Platinum Stars 3-1.
Mzwanele Mahashe netted twice for Baroka.

Manchester City have drawn 1-1 with Southampton in the English Premier League.
Kelechi Iheanacho scored for City at the Etihad.
Chelsea have thumped Manchester United 4-0 in more English Premiership action.
Pedro, Ngolo Kante, Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard netted for the hosts at Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona face six to eight weeks without Andres Iniesta.
The Barcelona captain has a knee injury.
Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, have lost 1-0 to FC Sevilla in La Liga.

The Sunfoil Series match between the Cobras and Warriors has ended in a draw.
Colin Ackermann, Omphile Ramela and Andrew Puttick all scored centuries in Cape Town.
The clash between the Knights and Lions in Kimberley was also drawn.
Dwaine Pretorius was out for 80 in the Lions second innings.
Duanne Olivier claimed six for 93 for the Knights.

Stephen Cook has failed in both innings of the drawn two-day match between the Proteas and a Cricket Australia XI.
Cook made scores of five and 12 at the Adelaide Oval.
Rilee Rossouw retired out on 77 in the South African second innings.
The Proteas ended the game on 181 for five in their second knock.
They had earlier dismissed the home side for just 103.
South Africa made 415 in their first innings with Quinton de Kock cracking 122 and JP Duminy 97.
The first of three Tests against Australia will start in Perth on 3 November.

The first Test between Bangladesh and England is delicately balanced after four days.
Bangladesh need another 33 runs to win, but have only two wickets standing in Chittagong.
Sabbir Rahman is undefeated on 59.
Gareth Batty has taken three for 65 for England.

Pakistan are 114 for one in their second innings after three days of the second Test against West Indies.
Pakistan lead by 342 runs in Abu Dhabi.
Azhar Ali is undefeated on 52, while Sami Aslam is out for 50.
West Indies, replying to 452, had earlier been dismissed for 224 in their first innings.
Darren Bravo top scored with 43, while Yasir Shah claimed four for 86 for Pakistan.
Pakistan won the opening Test.

India have beaten New Zealand by seven wickets the third one-day international in Mohali.
India, chasing a victory target of 286, reached 289 for three with ten balls to spare.
Virat Kohli made an unbeaten 154, while Mahendra Singh Dhoni was out for 80.
Tom Latham had earlier top scored for the Black Caps with 61.

Simona Halep has made a winning start at the WTA Finals in Singapore.

Halep defeated Madison Keys 6-2 6-4 in her opening round-robin match.
