Ethiopia punishment confirmed
Updated | By Andre Bloem

FIFA on Monday confirmed that the Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in a World Cup qualifier against Botswana on 8 June 2013.
FIFA awarded a 3-0 victory in favour of Botswana and this means that South Africa now only trail Ethiopia by two points.
The sanction relates to Ethiopian player, Minyahile Teshome Beyene, who failed to serve the automatic one-match suspension imposed on him following two cautions received in two different matches.
Bafana will face Botswana in their final Group A match on 7 September.
