Updated | By Staff Writer
Elstadt received a yellow card for the incident, which was in breach of Law 10.4 (h), in the 57th minute of the match and was subsequently cited.
He appeared at a SARU disciplinary hearing in Cape Town on Tuesday.
Law 10.4 (h) states that a player must not charge into a ruck or maul without the use of the arms or without grasping a player.
The Judicial Officer, Advocate Rob Stelzner, on Wednesday released his judgement which described the incident as a mid-range offence.
After taking all mitigating factors into account, he suspended Elstadt for three weeks.
The player will be allowed to return to action on 30 September 2014.
