Durban harbour perch action
Durban harbour actually managed to accommodate a bit of fishing and anglers who made the effort to go down have caught fish in the dirty and debris filled water, however no fireworks.
The odd lucky angler hooked decent grunter closer to the mouth and anglers using sardine as bait managed to catch a couple of kob near the mouth.
Towards the end of the Silt Canal anglers had some fun with some good sized perch on cracker shrimp baits.
Anglers fishing near Wilson's Wharf saw what could possibly have been garrick smashing small shoals of mullet early in the morning during the week. Smaller mullet are a very good bait for garrick and other gamefish and anglers fishing from the banks can easily target them.
