Dolphins saw them beat Six Gun Grill Western Province by 65 runs to book their
spot in the CSA T20 Challenge semi-final later this week.
The Dolphins got off to a poor start with the bat when they lost Keegan Petersen off the first ball of the innings for a duck and things didn't get any better through the powerplay as they lost the wickets of Grant Roelofsen and Marques Ackerman within the first the overs - reeling at 13 for three.
Khaya Zondo and Ruan de Swardt put together 45 runs for the fourth wicket in seven overs before the latter was dismissed for 22 off 23 balls.
Bryce Parsons joined Zondo and they continued the re-building phase with a stand worth 47 which came to an end in the seventeenth over with Parsons dismissed for 28 off 22 balls. The total at that stage was 105 for five when Andile Phehlukwayo came to the wicket.
The all-rounder blasted 25 off just ten deliveries which included two sixes and two fours as he gave the Dolphins crucial impetus at the back-end of the innings.
Zondo's knock held the Dolphins innings together with a crucial 59 not out off 51 deliveries as he took the Dolphins from 13 for three to 148 for five in their 20 overs.
With the ball the Dolphins bowlers were unrelenting as they put the Western Province batters under pressure from the beginning.
Eathan Bosch began the downfall of Province when he took a great caught and bowled to dismiss Richard Levi for 15.
A run later the Dolphins had their second when captain Prenelan Subrayen bowled Tony de Zorzi for one - Western Province were 24 for two in the fifth over.
As Province got to 42 they lost their third when Phehlukwayo got his first wicket with Dane Vilas trapped in front for nine.
From there the Dolphins grabbed the ascendancy and through Parsons' left-arm spin, Ottniel Baartman, Subrayen and Phehlukwayo, the Dolphins took seven wickets for 41 runs.
Parsons took two in consecutive deliveries in the tenth over and then bagged one more when he took the final wicket to fall to register career-best figures of three for 22.
In the end the Dolphins bowled Western Province out for 83 to book their spot in the semi-finals.
