Dolphins and Lions share the spoils in PMB

The domestic one-day Cup match between the Dolphins and the Highveld Lions at the City Oval in Pietermaritzburg earlier today had to be abandoned because of persistent rain.

When play was interrupted, the Dolphins, who had been sent in to bat, were on 227 for seven after 43.3 overs. Captain Morne van Wyk made 61 and Cameron Delport 56.

Chris Morris took three wickets for 59 runs.

Both teams will take two points from the match, with the Dolphins remaining at the summit in the Mometum One Day Cup, while the Lions remain rooted at the foot of the table.
