De Villiers reshuffles for Sri Lanka

The Proteas departed for Sri Lanka at the OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday evening. South Africa will face the Sri Lankans in One Day Internationals and T20 Series.

The Proteas departed for Sri Lanka at the OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday evening.

South Africa will face the Sri Lankans in One Day Internationals and T20 Series.

Skipper AB De Villiers will be opening the batting in the shorter format of the game, according to Faf Du Plessis the T20 skipper.

Du Plessis says'' The plan is for AB to open, I really like him up front, He's one of the world's best batsmen and he has time up front to really do some damage."

AB confirmed that he will be batting at number four for the ODI's.

South Africa and Sri Lanka will contest in five one dayers, with the first ODI starting on the 20th of July.

Three matches will be played in the T20 series following the conclusion of the limited overs action.

The first of the three matches will get underway on the second of next month in Colombo.

T20: Faf du Plessis, Farhaan Behardien, Henry Davids, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, Rory Kleinveldt, Ryan McLaren, David Miller, Morne Morkel, Chris Morris, Wayne Parnell, Aaron Phangiso, Lonwabo Tsotsobe, David Wiese.
