Dala, Phehlukwayo star for SA XI
Updated | By CSA
Junior Dala and Andile Phehlukwayo gave their burgeoning careers a boost with outstanding bowling performances on the final morning of the three-day tour match between England and the SA Invitation XI on Thursday.

Dala has played 30 first-class matches and Phehlukwayo only six and by sharing 8 wickets for 70 runs in 16.4 overs in the England second innings they put together performances that they have not come close to achieving before.
Dala finished with 5/34 and Phehlukwayo with 3/36 as England
subsided from an overnight 99/3 to 190 all out.
This was only two runs more than the home side made in their first innings although it still left England with a massive lead of 472 runs.
Sadly for both players the match does not enjoy first-class status so it will not count for their career records.
Joe Root (39 off 65 balls, 2 fours) was top scorer in England’s second innings.
Only two overs were possible in the home side’s second innings off which they made 5 runs without loss before lightning and rain brought the game to an end.
