Couta caught on the north coast
Updated | By Staff Writer

Guys fishing the central area have still been able to land some Snoek with smaller Shoal Couta also in the mix. Skippers fishing deeper have also landed some Daga with the odd bigger Yellowfin Tuna also being boated.
The last ORI shellfish survey for this year is out and it focuses on shellfish collection in KZN. It is also the last chance to qualify for the lucky draw in Jan 2014 when UShaka Platinum Passes and other prizes can be won.
The original deadline of the 22nd of November has been extended, since the mail surveys went out late. Anybody who received a questionnaire in the mail and has not yet responded, is encouraged to complete it as soon as possible.
The survey can also be completed online and the details are up on the ECR blog – please go along today to fill it out if it is something that you are able to assist with: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/InvertSurveyOct2013 . For further questions, please call 031 328 8160.
It’s a beautiful Monday morning on the beach with light winds and a slight increase in the swell size. If you are planning a trip to the beach rather go sooner than later as onshores are the order of the day. It’s going to be a warm day in Durban with a high of 27 degrees – what a great way to start the week!
