PFA Players player of the year headed Eden Hazard in after his penalty was saved to give the blues a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace which was enough to seal the league title.

Jose Mourinho’s side have three matches remaining against Liverpool away next, then a trip to the Hawthornes to take on West Bromwich Albion then a final home match against Sunderland where they will officially be crowned champions.

Chelsea posted the photo below on Twitter showing Eden Hazard and Kurt Zouma celebrate their first Premier League title.

Meanwhile, Man City all but secured their spot in next seasons Champions league with a 1-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspurs. Sergio Aguero scored his 22nd league goal of the season to give the Citizens a 1-0 at White Hart lane.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini said after the match it is important they now win a mini-league of teams just below top spot.

Arsenal are in third position with three points behind City with Manchester United currently occupying  the final champions league spot.

Finishing second or third in the table means an automatic place in the group stage, rather than the play-offs that have to be negotiated by the team in fourth place.
