Changes aplenty at Usuthu

AmaZulu FC have rung the changes to their first team squad ahead of the start of the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League season next month.

The club has announced numerous outgoings, whilst several players return from loan.


There’s also good news for upcoming youngsters, as first team call ups, for two players from the Multichoice Diski Challenge team, have been made.


The PSL is set to begin in exactly one month, and the newly appointed head coach, Ayanda Dlamini has started making the necessary changes to his squad.


Attacking winger, Sicelo Mkhize has penned a 3-year-contract with Usuthu from Jomo Cosmos. Whilst defensive option, Sazi Mgwazela joins on a 3-year-deal from Royal Eagles.


Dlamini has also made use of the knowledge he attained whilst in charge of the reserve team, as he has opted to call up right back Sphamandla Nene and winger Thami Nombika, to the first team.


Attacking winger Somila Ntsundwana and shot stopper Jean Amonome return from their season long loans with Royal Eagles.


Meanwhile decisions will be made regarding the futures of Sbusiso Maluleka, who was on loan with Royal Eagles, and uThongathi loanee Xolani Slawula.


Dlamini has also trimmed down the current squad, as the club have agreed to mutually terminate the contract of Slovakian attacker, Milos Lacny, midfielder Jabulani Ncobeni and defenders Phumlani Gumede and Thembela Sikhakhane.
