Budd considering legal action
Updated | By Staff Writer
De Vries has released the following statement:
It is now six weeks since the Comrades Marathon - neither Zola Budd or Alan Robb has had any communication from KZN ATHLETICS (KZNA) regarding their age category disqualification. The results have been changed on the Comrades website - this surely had to be authorised? I still have not had an answer to three emails to the KZNA president and the technical committee head (technical delegate) requesting a status update. I read in the media certain statements made by Comrades Marathon and the president. I also noted the contents of the presidents "vote of thanks" speech at the recent Mandela Marathon launch in Johannesburg in which he stated publicly how right "he" is. I have done everything possible for a positive outcome for the good of all parties involved and the sport itself. We have taken legal opinion and are considering the legal route.
