The home team batted first at the Mangaung Oval and were dismissed for 171.

Captain, Pite van Biljon, top scored for the Knights with 42.

Dolphins spinner, Kyle Nipper, claimed four for 32.

Vaughan van Jaarsveld with 71 and Morne van Wyk with 33 put on a 103-run opening partnership for the Dolphins to set up the victory.

Dolphins skipper, Khaya Zondo, hit the winning runs with a six to take his score to 43 not out.

Zondo feels the Dolphins were fotunate to have both seam and spinning options in Bloemfontein.

"The Knights got off to a good start with the bat. I then turned to our spinners. We were equipped with four seamers and three spinners. We shifted our gameplan to the spinners and that worked out very nicely," Zondo said.

The Dolphins will play their next Momentum One-Day Cup match tomorrow.

That is when they will face the Warriors in Port Elizabeth.
