Ruan Botha, who is 25, is a member of the current Cell C Sharks squad. Botha was a member of the South Africa Under-20 team that won the 2012 IRB Junior World Championship.

Who was your favourite player growing up and why?

Mark Andrews - A true inspiration.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

The 2012 Under-20 World Cup final.

Which player would you love to play alongside?

Etienne Oosthuizen.

Which player would you hate to play against?

Seabelo Senatla.

At what point did you decide that you wanted to become a professional rugby player?

From the first day I touched a rugby ball.

What has been the most challening aspect of your career?

Injuries.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I listen to Planetshaker or Hillsong and spend some time with God.

Which is your favourite stadium to play at besides Growthpoint Kings Park?

Newlands.

What do you plan to do after rugby?

Properties.

What is your favourite movie?

Any Kevin Hart comedy.

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Any island with a tropical feel.

Where did you matriculate?

Jeugland.

Who is your favourite singer or band?

Anything new.

What is your favourite meal?

Pizza or sushi.
