Botes expected to play at Loftus

Jacques Botes is expected to play for the Sharks at Loftus on Friday night and match a record in the process.

This would take his Absa Currie Cup appearances to a record-equalling 142.

Helgard Muller currently holds this record.

The Sharks and Blue Bulls will clash from 19h10 onwards.

Frik Kirsten is fit to face the Sharks. His knee strain has now cleared up.

The Sharks top the standings.

They lead DHL Western Province on points-difference. The Blue Bulls are fifth.

Province will host the MTN Lions on Saturday. Kickoff is at 14h00.
