Boks at full strength for Wales clash

The Springboks head coach, Heyneke Meyer will have a full strength squad to pick from with wing JP Pietersen, lock Victor Matfield and Jannie Du Plessis all recovering well from injury.

More good news on the injury front is that the trio could come into the selection frame this Saturday.

Meyer says it is wonderful to see a number of players returning from injury.

''Thankfully in the USA game we didn't pick up any significant injuries which is great news. At the moment the two guys we need to make a call on this weekend are Victor, who is recovering well from the arm string injury - we'll see how it goes at the training today and make the call for the weekend.

''The other one is JP Pietersen with a knee injury, he's also recovering very nicely and should be available for the weekend but he's got to get through a couple of training sessions first before we can confirm that.

''So effectively everyone is available for selection which is great news,'' he said.

The Boks reunited yesterday after a four day break - also means some big decisions for Meyer to make.

Does he bring Matfield into the starting line up ahead of an in form Lood De Jager?

The Irish ensured that they top Pool D with a hard fought win over France yesterday. Bad news for the Irish is that their captain Paul O'Connell could miss the remainder of the tournament through injury.

He is due to retire from internationals after the tournament.

Meanwhile Japan pulled off their third win of the tournament with a 28-18 victory over the USA. Tremendous achievement and sad that they did not progress further in the tournament.

So no action for the next five days as teams prepare for knock-out rugby.

The tournaments quarter finals have also been confirmed.

Here is the full list of fixtures:
