Big stumpnose at Blue Lagoon
Updated | By Staff Writer
The latest Kingfisher angling update said that the Umgeni North Bank early morning sessions have produced a few Garrick on a whole live Shad, or failing a Shad a Karanteen or Pinky if you can get one.
At Blue Lagoon a local Angler has managed to land a lovely Stumpy of just over 4.5 kilos.
Durban Piers are still producing Maasbunker and Redfish with Shad making an appearance at times. Some Skates have also been caught.
On the Bluff Anstey’s Beach saw some good Shad catches, these fish were caught mainly on whole Sardine drift baits and were quite close to the beach.
Good news, after yesterday’s howling South Westerly winds, its going to be a beautiful day in Durban today with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees, clear skies and NW winds blowing, with today’s offshore winds it could be worth checking your local spot for some waves before work.
