First prize for biggest fish from the four official species - Wahoo, Couta, Yellowfin Tuna and Snoek - is a Superduck from Natal Powerboats with a 40HP Suzuki engine valued at R112 000. The launch sites are from Umkomaas to Shelly Beach.
Prize pool total is in excess of R250 000. The cost to enter is R400. There are prizes for top ski-boat, top jet-ski and top kayak so everyone has a chance of winning.
The King of the Bugs Crayfish competition is also on the go on the Saturday sponsored by Freedivers. There will be various Freedivers apparel and other lucky draw prizes up for grabs on the day. The cost is R120 per person and includes a boerewors roll and a beer.
Surfers stay tuned tomorrow - I hope to have some exciting news for you about an event this week.
