Beach Beauty calls it quits
South African horse racing has said good-bye to a crowd favourite.
Champion mare, Beach Beauty, has retired from the sport.
The six-year-old won 17 of her 31 career starts and amassed winnings of over R5-million.
Beach Beauty will move to the Western Cape and will be used for breeding.
She achieved five Grade One victories with three of them coming in her final season.
