Four Bayern Munich players have been shortlisted for the Uefa Player of the Year Award. Arjen Robben, Bastien Schweinsteiger, Frank Ribery and Thomas Mueller are in contention.

Four Bayern Munich players have been shortlisted for the Uefa Player of the Year Award. Arjen Robben, Bastien Schweinsteiger, Frank Ribery and Thomas Mueller are in contention.

Arjen Robben scored the winning goal to hand Bayern their fifth European title.

Pep Guardiloa is the new man in charge of the Bavarians following the departure of treble winning manager Jupp Heynches.

Cristiano Ronaldo the top scorer in the Champions league last season was nominated along with Lionel Messi as the only players from Spain.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also among the nominees after guiding Paris Saint Germain to their first knockout stages in 17 years.

Robin Van Persie and Gareth Bale have been shortlisted, while Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski will be remembered for his four goals against Real Madrid, he also made the cut.

The Awards ceremony will be held in Monaco on the 29th of August, this will be the third edition.

Lionel Messi won the award in 2011 and Andres Iniesta walked away with it in 2012, who will be next?
