Bafana training minus Brilliant
Bafana Bafana will be without AFC Bournemouth striker, Tokelo Rantie, for their AFCON 2017 qualifier against Gambia in Durban this Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who was married last weekend, failed to report to camp.
Shakes Mashaba has called up Orlando Pirates frontman, Thamsanqa Gabuza, as cover.
The former Golden Arrows man is in good form. He netted a brace for the Sea Robbers as they thumped Guinea’s AS Kaloum Star in CAF Confederations Cup action last Saturday.
Another concern for Mashaba was the absence of Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Brilliant Khuzwayo, at training on Thursday.
According to Mashaba, Khuzwayo has the flu and is being rested at the moment.
Gambia are set to arrive in Durban on Thursday evening.
The Scorpions played to a 1-1 draw against Uganda in an international friendly on Tuesday.
The Cranes of Uganda are 71st on the FIFA world rankings, just two places behind South Africa.
