Amazulu raise hopes of PSL survival

AmaZulu are still alive and kicking in the ABSA Premiership after a dramatic win over amaTuks in Pretoria last night.

Two goals from loanee Striker Bongani Ntuli led Usuthu to a 2-1 win at Tuks.

Steve Barker's men went behind midway into the first half through a Tebogo Monyai header.

Earlier, Energy Murambandoro saved a penalty while Marc van Heerden struck the Woodwork twice for Usuthu.

The win takes AmaZulu off the bottom of the table after Ajax Cape Town did them  a massive favour beating Moroka Swallows 2-1 in Cape Town.

Next up for Steve Barker is a do or die clash at home to Maritzburg United in the KZN Derby.

Maritzburg are 8th on the ABSA Premiership standing, level on points with Free State Stars but boast a better goal difference.

AmaZulu can still completely get out of the relegation zone if they beat the Team of Choice and Chippa loses against Kaizer Chiefs.
