Amashova - Weekend road closures
The annual cycling race will start outside the Pietermaritzburg City Hall at 06h30.
The 65km race starts at Drew Road in Cato Ridge at 05h30 and the 35km event starts outside the Lillies Quarter in Old Main Road, Hillcrest at 05h30.
Road closure times along the routes are as follows:
Chief Albert Luthuli Street – Alex Road: 04h00 – 09h15
Alex Road – Umlaas Road: 05h00 – 11h30
Umlaas Road – R103 Inchanga/1000 hills: 05h15 – 12h00
R103 Inchanga – Bothas Hill Butchery: 05h15 – 12h45
R103 Patna Road – Kassier Road/M13 on ramp: 06h15 – 13h15
M13 Hillcrest – M13 Westville: 04h15 – 14h30
M13 Westville – M13 45th Cutting: 05h15 – 14h30
N3 outbound – Monty Naiker Street: 05h30 – 14h30
Monty Naicker Street (Pine Street): 05h30 – 15h00
Masabalala Yengwa Avenue (North Bound): 04h00 – 16h00
Rain is predicted for Sunday, while the Absa Currie Cup match between the Sharks and Western Province is also expected to be a wet affair.
The rugby will start at 19h10 on Saturday night.
