AB reaches milestone

AB de Villiers brought up 7000 Test runs scored, during the first day's play of the second Test at St George's Park, in Port Elizabeth, yesterday.
As De Villiers moved to 34 in the first innings, he passed the milestone off the bowling of Peter Siddle in the 75th over.
De Villiers had an average of 51.98 coming into the game with 18 tons and 35 half-centuries. The wicketkeeper-batsman has a top score of 278 not out, which he achieved against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi in November 2010.
The Proteas will resume on 214-5 in their first innings this morning, De Villiers will resume on 51 not out.
