Following last night's announcement that Pravin Gordhan - who headed the Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs portfolio - has been reappointed as Finance Minister, South Africans have taken to Twitter to express their views.

The hashtag #ZumaMustStillFall began trending as users shared their thoughts on the latest Cabinet reshuffle. 


This follows the trending topic #ZumaMustFall based on Nhlanhla Nene's sudden removal from Office last Wednesday.


Successor, van Rooyen served a mere four days in the position.


The DA's Mmusi Maimane has welcomed Gordhan's appointment but has urged him to address the SAA and nuclear deal.

While Cosatu's former General Secretary Zwelinzima Vavi tweeted the change will not solve the persisting problems of unemployment and poverty. 


The Presidency issued a statement yesterday saying, this is to 'emphasise the importance of listening to the people and to respond to their views.'
