Zuma corruption case: Bid to halt proceedings to be heard in May

The State and the legal teams for both former President Jacob Zuma and French arms dealer, Thales, have been given strict deadlines to file all court papers ahead of the arguing of the stay of prosecutionapplications next May.
These were made an order of the court this morning when the matter came before Deputy Judge President Isaac Madondo in the Pietermartizburg High Court once again.
Deputy Judge President Isaac Madondo has adjourned the criminal proceedings until May 20, next year.
On this day, arguments in the permanent stay of prosecutions applications will also begin.

They have been set down for three days. All of this is in accordance, with an order taken by consent which also stipulates the dates by which the parties need to file their various papers.
