Zuma back in PMB court as corruption case continues
Updated | By Newswatch
Former president Jacob Zuma's lawyers are returning to the
Pietermaritzburg High Court on Monday to make a new application in his
corruption case.
They're seeking leave to appeal Judge Piet Koen's October ruling, which paved the way for the corruption trial against the former president and French arms company Thales to go ahead in April this year.
Koen dismissed Zuma's special plea application to have state prosecutor Billy Downer recused from the case.

The former president argued that Downer cannot be impartial, and accused him of leaking confidential information to journalists, among other claims.
The State denied the allegations.
