Zuma to appear before ANC's Integrity Committee today
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
President Jacob Zuma is expected to appear before the ANC's Integrity Committee today, on issues pertaining to the party's image, and the upholding of its values.
In a brief telephonic interview with Newswatch, ANC spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa, gave nothing away - only confirming that the meeting is taking place today.
The meeting comes as the ANC NEC this week said it had rejected the call for Zuma to step down as president - after debating the matter during an extended meeting.
Zuma's integrity has been questioned, after the Constitutional Court found that he had violated his oath of office by not repaying some of the money spent on upgrading his Nkandla home - as directed by the Public Protector.
Another recent Public Protector report says he failed to take action on claims of state capture involving the controversial Gupta family.
Among those who are concerned about the state of affairs are ANC stalwarts and veterans - who have penned and signed a document titled “For the Sake of our Future”.
They will be meeting with Secretary General Gwede Mantashe again, on Monday.
