Zuma announcement on load shedding more politicking: Expert
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
An energy expert believes that President Jacob Zuma's announcement that Eskom has assured him that there will be no more load shedding was more like political speak rather than engineering talk.
Chris Yelland says although it is possible and probable, however to say that there will be no more load shedding this year or ever goes behind what he can consider reasonable.
"One has to be cautious and one has to acknowledge that these are statistical and probabilistic issues and one cannot say with certainty that there will be no load shedding at all," he said.
"There are a number of reasons why we are not experiencing load shedding at the moment and let us be thankful for that we are not having load shedding," Yelland.
