Zulu king applauds construction of Radisson Blue Hotel in Umhlanga
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
King Goodwill Zwelethini has emphasised the importance of empowering and involving local communities when projects with economic spin-offs are planned.
He was speaking at the media launch of the Radisson Blue Hotel that will be constructed in Durban's affluent Umhlanga suburb.
The project will see ordinary members of the public being able to become shareholders.
The king has applauded the project and the number of accolades and recognition it's received - saying its concept is unique when compared to many other projects that position themselves as uplifting the community, but fail to do so.
