#ZolileKhumalo case back in court
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Thabani Mzolo heads back to the Durban Magistrate’s Court this morning - possibly to apply for bail.

He's accused of killing 21-year-old Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) student Zolile Khumalo, in the room of her off-campus residence in the Durban CBD.
He had allegedly entered the building with another student, before gunning down his ex-girlfriend.
The court last heard that Mzolo had hired private attorney Charl Claassen.
At that stage, Claasen had not yet taken instructions on whether or not his client wanted to apply for bail and while the State was still in the process of verifying reports of a previous assault charge against the accused, it did say it would be opposing any bail bid.
Khumalo’s deaths sparked outrage amongst her peers and MUT students have previously marched on the court in their numbers.
