Zikalala withdraws assault charges against former DJ
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala and a former Ukhozi FM
DJ are withdrawing their assault charges against one another.

Zikalala and Ngizwe Mchunu opened cases against each other after an incident during the Ingoma kaZwelonke Festival at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium a week ago.
Zikalala's spokesperson Lennox Mabaso says it was an amicable decision.
"Premier Zikalala has noted and welcomed the statement by Mr Ngizwe Mchunu. The office of the premier will not make any comments and consider this matter closed."

Mchunu held a media briefing last night in Umhlangaand explained he didn't like how the charges had divided people, especially their supporters.
The former DJ's spokesperson Lindokuhle Xulu says family members intervened, and traditional and religious leaders played a big role in bringing them together.
"We have reached a decision to deal with these issues traditionally. Our culture dictates that we have issues in a manner that is restorative, meaning that we have issues that seek to build society."
