Zikalala to switch on KwaGwabhu electrification project

KZN MEC of Cooperative Governance Sihle Zikalala will switch on the lights in parts of Umzumbe on Friday.

The electrification project was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"MEC, Sihle Zikalala in line with his commitment to support municipalities to deliver basic services to communities, will officially conduct the switch-on of the KwaGwabhu electrification project and commission the production borehole in KwaMgayi, under the uMzumbe Local Municipality," says the department's Nonala Ndlovu.
"Through these Cogta-funded projects, residents in uMzumbe will now have access to safe drinking water and a reliable supply of electricity.”
