Zikalala reshuffles KZN cabinet

KZN Cabinet has had a mini shake-up, Peggy Nkonyeni has vacated her post as MEC for Public Works and Human Settlements and has now taken on the Transport, Community Safety and Liaison portfolio.
She was sworn in Pietermaritzburg yesterday.
Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu temporarily stepped in after the death of Bheki Ntuli in January.
KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala thanked MEC Mshengu, "For his hard work and dedication over the past few months during which he held the two posts concurrently and discharged these responsibilities with equal measure and energy."
Zikalala also announced Nkonyeni's replacement.

"The chairperson of the Education portfolio committee, the honourable Ntuthuko Sibiya will become the new MEC who will take over from MEC Nkoyeni and he will be responsible for PUblic Works and Human Settlements."
