While officials are worried about a sudden rise in coronavirus infections in KZN - Premier Sihle Zikalala says, at this stage, the province isn't facing tougher lockdown restrictions.
According to the latest figures from the Health Ministry, 38 more people have died in the country, after they contracted Covid-19.
Over 2 500 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of people diagnosed so far to more than 730 000.
KZN, currently, has over 6 000 active cases.
Speaking at a media briefing in Durban on Sunday, Zikalala said it's not up to local government to change lockdown levels.

Almost half of these cases are in Nelson Mandela Bay.
