Zikalala labels deadly shooting of Durban ANC members as barbaric
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Chairperson of the African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal, Sihle Zikalala says the gunning down of party members in Durban over the weekend is barbaric.
Three women were killed and five others injured in a drive-by shooting on Saturday outside an Inanda primary school.
They'd been attending a community meeting convened by the ANC to finalise selection of candidates for 2021 local government elections.
Zikalala visited their families on Monday to pay his respects.
He's labelled the killers thugs and says such elements cannot be accepted in the party.
He's called on the Inanda community to help police catch the gunmen.
